Job summary

Rush Truck Centers, a division of Rush Enterprises, Inc., is seeking a skilled technician to service and repair heavy trucks, engines and components across our nationwide network.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience, and a valid driver license with insurability. CDL and Medical card are preferred; ASE certifications are advantageous. Competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Valid driver license with insurability; CDL and medical card preferred.
• ASE certifications and OEM training are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans and transmissions.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive vehicle to verify performance.
• Attend training classes and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
