Job summary

Transdev in Ford Bend, TX is seeking a gas/diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity for our fleet while supporting A-Level/B-Level mechanics on complex diagnostics.

Qualifications include 3 years of mechanic experience and ASE certifications. This full-time role may involve DOT drug testing; company-paid ASE testing and tool reimbursement are available as part of a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel and gas engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.
