Job summary

Booster is seeking a Diesel Fleet Maintenance Technician in Sacramento to ensure reliable, safe operation of our diesel fleet, tanker systems, and fueling equipment. This hands-on role requires 3+ years of diesel experience and a proactive approach to diagnostics, maintenance, and safety compliance.

You will work with Fleet Operations, Drivers, and leadership to minimize downtime, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to issues promptly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of diesel technician or fleet maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, tanker systems, preventative maintenance programs, and fleet repair operations.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently.
• Self-starter capable of working effectively with limited direct supervision.
• Comfortable using smartphones, email, digital work orders, and maintenance systems.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Reliability & Preventative Maintenance: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational issues quickly and accurately.
• Diagnostics & Repair Execution: Perform repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Operational Support: Respond promptly to driver-reported defects, maintenance requests, and operational concerns within 24 hours.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all repairs meet policies, DOT regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standards.
• Cross-Market & Field Support: Travel to other Booster markets to support fleet maintenance operations and major repair initiatives.
