Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Harahan, LA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. Under minimal supervision, you will ensure road readiness, document work orders, and communicate with colleagues to keep repairs on schedule.

The role requires 2+ years of repair experience, including PMs, tire and wheel, brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & brakes, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and diagnose basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and is roadworthy.
• Document repairs and PMs in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks using hand and power tools.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
