Job summary

TriStar Beverage in Clarksville, TN is seeking a self-motivated, mechanically inclined mechanic helper/trainee for our diesel shop. You will assist with repairs, routine service and preventative maintenance to keep delivery and other vehicles DOT compliant.

The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, use of common mechanical tools, and a sense of urgency addressing equipment issues. This full-time position offers a strong pay and benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), paid vacation

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, mechanically inclined and willing to turn wrenches and use tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Professional public image and safe driving habits are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs, routine service and preventative maintenance for delivery and other vehicles.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and orderliness; manage paperwork per DOT regulations.
• Balance wheels to minimize tire wear and rotate wheels at prescribed mileage intervals.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose engine, drive train, hydraulic, electrical systems; perform tune-ups.
