Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs.

You will work in a team-focused environment, apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations, and use precision instruments and diagnostic tools to support safe, reliable operations across our service centers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience repairing trucks, bodies and frames.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must have a valid CDL when required.
• Familiar with DOT, EPA, OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment safely and timely, including preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Build, repair and test components of trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical failures with diagnostic tools.
• Read precision instruments and use meters/calibrators.
• Follow DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA regulations.
