Job summary

Sysco Chicago, Inc. seeks an experienced fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on a wide range of fleet vehicles. You will diagnose vehicles, perform inspections, and ensure safety and reliability while reducing downtime.

The role requires medium/heavy duty truck training, a valid driver’s license, and experience with OEM diagnostic software. The position offers a full-time schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and other components to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed.
