Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc, located in Warners, New York, is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various fleet vehicles. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED along with specific technical training in Medium/Heavy Duty trucks, and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time opportunity offering $22.93 – $34.38 per hour based on experience, plus an annual tool allowance and comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years of vocational training plus 1 year of experience in fleet maintenance, or 3 years of experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work performed on work orders.

Skills

Expert knowledge of vehicle systems

Moderate knowledge of electrical systems

Basic welding skills

Computer-based diagnostic software

Ability to perform maintenance and repairs

Education
