Job summary

Sysco Albany, LLC is seeking an apprentice Fleet Technician to learn and perform quality preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet. You will work under experienced technicians to diagnose issues, execute safe repairs, and minimize road downtime.

You'll gain hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems, while documenting work orders and improving reliability. This entry role offers a path to full-time opportunities within Sysco’s expansive logistics network.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• CDL preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and their diagnostics.
• Familiarity with repair tasks and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Learn to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
• Document all work on work orders accurately and timely.
• Develop proficiency in Sysco computer programs under supervision.
