Job summary

Sysco is hiring for a Fleet Technician in California. Earn $30.96–$46.44 per hour plus a $600 tool allowance and boot allowance. Shifts are 5 days a week, 8 hours per day from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a $3.00 night shift differential.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across tractors, trailers, and related equipment. Opportunities for growth and internal leadership development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license preferred (CDL not required).
• Medium/heavy duty truck tech training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment within planned time frames for safety and reliability.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Conduct quality preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, Reefer units, and lift gates.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Document work orders and follow established procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in supervision when needed.
