Job summary

Sysco Foods in Ohio seeks an experienced Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert repairs to keep the fleet safe and reliable on the road. You will diagnose issues, service engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, and document all work.

A tool allowance and a $1.25/hr shift differential support this full-time role. Qualifications include medium/heavy duty truck tech training, a high school diploma or GED, and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Tech training in medium/heavy duty trucks.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school + 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Current valid driver’s license and ASE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per schedule.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems.
• Complete work orders and document procedures.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use diagnostic software.
• Operate safely with proper hand and tool usage.
