Waste Pro in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B to diagnose and repair heavy-duty fleets. Expect $28.00–$34.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, plus monthly tool and annual boot allowances and robust benefits.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, repairing engines and driveline systems, and ensuring safety inspections and timely documentation. Growth and ASE OEM training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Suspend/diganostics knowledge for inspections and repairs.
• Brake system diagnostics and repairs expertise.
• Electrical system diagnostics and repairs proficiency.
• Hydraulic system inspections and repairs knowledge.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and manuals.
• Ability to estimate labor and material needs.
• Mentor and support other technicians and aides.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and dependability.
• CDL Class B preferred or obtainable within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair heavy-duty and light-duty trucks.
• Review and complete repairs identified on DVIRs and repair orders.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brake, suspension, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize vehicle diagnostic systems to identify failure modes and perform repairs.
• Follow Factory Service Manuals and manufacturer specs.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and preventive maintenance recommendations.
• Communicate repair status with managers and drivers.
• Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; adhere to OSHA.
• Follow all company safety policies; demonstrate professionalism and accountability.
