Waste Pro in Pompano Beach, FL seeks a Diesel Mechanic B (Heavy Duty Fleet Technician) to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of heavy-duty refuse trucks and support equipment. You will work on diesel, gasoline, and CNG vehicles to keep the fleet safe, reliable, and efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks.
• Strong knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate labor time and materials for repairs.
• Ability to guide and support Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs/maintenance on heavy-duty trucks to ensure safe operations.
• Review and complete repairs identified on DVIRs and repair orders.
• Diagnose/repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems.
• Utilize diagnostic systems to identify failure modes and perform accurate repairs.
• Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with policies.
