Job summary
Mechanics Hub in Trumbull, CT seeks a Diesel Fleet Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of an established diesel fleet. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operation.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a diesel shop, extensive fleet management knowledge, and ASE master technician qualifications are preferred. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are required to support daily maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a diesel shop.
- Experience with heavy/med-duty fleets and truck/bus maintenance.
- Knowledge of local DOT regulations for Med/Heavy Trucks.
- ASE Master Truck Technician and/or Master Automotive Technician preferred.
- Proficiency with computerized diagnostics tools.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and budgeting skills.
- Flexible scheduling to meet operations needs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose malfunctions and repair diesel fleet systems.
- Implement and oversee maintenance and safety SOPs.
- Use EAM ERP to record work orders and track parts.
- Oversee parts inventory and stocking.
- Lead preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
- Coordinate with drivers, routes, and customer care.
- Supervise maintenance staff with guidance and training.
- Perform additional duties to support maintenance facility.
