Job summary

American Cementing LLC is seeking a Mechanic I-III to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and trailers at our Rifle, Colorado fleet yard. The role covers engines, transmissions, steering, and brakes, with emphasis on safety and accurate recordkeeping.

You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and coordinate third-party repairs as needed. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and diesel mechanic training; experience with heavy equipment and DOT rules is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Mechanical experience; oil and gas industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with DOT standards.
• Run diagnostic tests to determine vehicle issues and execute necessary repairs.
• Replace and rebuild components including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
• Coordinate third-party repair services when necessary.
• Support and lead other technicians in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
• Configure and maintain test stations and systems for verifying repair accuracy.
• Analyze test data to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to all HS&E procedures and company policies.
