Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Joliet, IL seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to service medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, perform preventive maintenance, and document work orders. This role includes road call responsibilities and ensuring fleet compliance with state and federal regulations.

You will inspect braking systems, electrical components, and onboard computers, using hand and power tools. Day 1 health benefits and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs and brakes.
• Experience with computerized diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with A/C refrigeration and repair of fleet diesel equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, and reefer units.
• Inspect and repair brakes, steering, bearings, and other critical components.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and related systems.
• Respond to road calls and ensure fleet remains roadworthy.
