Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related refrigeration units. The role requires diagnosing electrical issues, servicing brakes, and maintaining accurate work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units and related equipment under minimal supervision.
• Inspect and repair braking systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical components; replace parts as needed.
• Complete documentation for work orders and maintain records in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and certify equipment is roadworthy with proper licensing and registration.
