Job summary

Clean Harbors High Point, NC is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair the company fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing in a safety-focused environment, with opportunities for wage increases after probation and access to comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Move company equipment on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured per DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
