Clean Harbors Benicia, CA is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on the company fleet. You will support drivers, inspect vehicles, and ensure safety and compliance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience is required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests on hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet.
• Change oil, check batteries, and lubricate machinery as routine.
• Complete daily checklists and secure equipment per DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Support management needs and participate in company programs.
