Job summary

Clean Harbors in Logan Township, NJ is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair our company fleet in a safety‑conscious environment. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and addressing fleet issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma, 1+ years of experience with heavy‑duty trucks, DOT inspection experience, and own basic tools.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to work in a team environment.
1+ years of experience working on heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
1+ years of DOT inspection experience is required.
Must provide own basic tools.
Related mechanical certifications are not required.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
Move company equipment around the yard as needed.
Assist drivers with addressing vehicle issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
Complete daily checklists as required.
Ensure equipment is parked and secured per DOT requirements.
Maintain the facility through housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
