Job summary

American Cementing, Odessa, TX, is seeking a Mechanic I-III to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and trailers, ensuring fleet safety and reliability. The role involves running diagnostics, performing major component replacements, and maintaining accurate records on a fast-paced jobsite.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and diesel mechanic training, with DOT-compliant maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Mechanical experience; oil and gas industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with DOT standards.
• Run diagnostic tests to determine vehicle issues and execute necessary repairs.
• Replace and rebuild components including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
• Coordinate third-party repair services when necessary.
• Support and lead other technicians in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
