Job summary

Riley Industrial Services, Inc. in Odessa, TX seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Shop Foreman to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment while supervising daily shop operations.

You will assign work, ensure safety and quality standards, and support technicians in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong diesel engine knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Leadership, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trailers, heavy equipment.
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate employees.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and equipment for proper function and safe operation.
• Diagnostic and repair work on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine service tasks.
• Lead shop activities, assign work, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate parts and report on maintenance status and progress.
