Job summary

Sysco Foods in Miami, FL is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on company vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.

The role involves inspections of tractors, trailers, and related equipment, diagnosing issues, and completing work per manufacturer specs. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2 years of schooling and 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance; ASE certifications are helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulatory standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
• Document work on work orders and use Sysco computer programs.
• Maintain safety and reliability of the fleet and respond to driver DVIRs.
