Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to support fleet maintenance and repairs. You will learn inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic procedures to ensure vehicle safety and reliability on our fleet of tractors, trailers, and equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning under experienced technicians, with formal training modules and opportunities to advance as you gain certification and experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school preferred.
Apprentice may be required to complete Sysco SIU training modules for safety and other required courses.
Technicians must own and provide all tools; diagnostics equipment provided by Sysco.

Responsibilities

Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency of the fleet.
Learn to perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
Learn to perform quality maintenance inspections and repairs under supervision.
Document all work performed on work orders accurately.
