Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain a fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair diesel engines with safety and teamwork at the forefront.

Entry‑level candidates are welcome with on‑the‑job training; CDL preferred and valid driver’s license required for the role. Competitive pay and benefits are offered with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational diesel certification preferred.
• Willingness to learn and use diagnostic tools.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment is a plus.
• CDL preferred; willingness to obtain CDL is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on mixer trucks and heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components like engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Follow safety policies and procedures in workshop and on sites.
• Keep detailed maintenance records in company systems.
• Pursue ongoing learning on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
