Job summary

Resource Transport LLC (RT) is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems across our fleet of tractors and trailers. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, recording all work in Fleetio, and upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years in diesel or fleet maintenance and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or trade school training preferred.
• Experience with diesel/heavy equipment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to prevent downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records using CMMS/Fleetio.
• Ensure work complies with safety regulations (DOT/EPA).
• Manage inventory levels of spare parts and coordinate parts orders.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to share knowledge and best practices.
