Job summary

Clean Harbors in Henderson, CO is seeking a 2nd Shift Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair the company fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance and routine services on trucks and equipment while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of heavy-truck experience, and DOT inspection familiarity. Tools provided and training available; benefits include health coverage and 401K. EOE and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority by following all safety policies.
• Move company equipment around the yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Complete daily checklists as required.
• Ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT requirements.
• Maintain the facility through housekeeping duties.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
