Job summary

Blackwell Miami Inc near Pompano Beach/ Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic to repair and maintain commercial fleet vehicles—light, medium, and some heavy duty trucks. The role requires diagnostic ability, a CDL Class B, and a set of hand tools. English or Spanish is acceptable.

This full-time position features 10-hour shifts, six days per week, with steady year-round work and growth opportunities as we expand across Florida. Se habla español.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working as a mechanic or technician (diesel, fleet or automotive).
• CDL Class B minimum required (A a plus).
• Diagnostic ability with scan tools, multimeter and wiring diagrams.
• A set of hand tools.
• ASE certification is nice to have.
• English or Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose check engine lights, no-starts and electrical faults.
• Repair engines and drivetrains on gas and diesel fleet vehicles.
• Handle brakes, suspension and steering.
• Troubleshoot and repair A/C systems.
• Work on aftertreatment — DPF, DEF, regens.
• Service vans, straight trucks and box trucks (Isuzu NPR, Ford Transit, Freightliner).
• Test-drive trucks after repairs.

Full-time · Shop just south of Pompano Beach in Fort Lauderdale · 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Now hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic to repair and maintain commercial fleet vehicles — mainly light and medium duty vans and box trucks, with some heavy duty trucks mixed in. Gas and diesel. The work is steady and the bays are always full.

YOU SHOULD HAVE

• 3+ years working as a mechanic or technician (diesel, fleet or automotive)
• A valid CDL — Class B minimum, Class A a plus — required for this role
• Real diagnostic ability with scan tools, multimeter and wiring diagrams
• A set of hand tools
• ASE certification is nice to have
• English or Spanish

DAY TO DAY
