Job summary

Lignetics Inc. MARATHON, Wisconsin is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of fleet vehicles and equipment. The role emphasizes safe, road-ready assets, with a focus on diesel and gasoline systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet maintenance, understands diesel engines and air brake systems, and can read manuals and wiring diagrams. A CDL is preferred; ASE certifications are a plus in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years in fleet/heavy equipment maintenance
• ASE certifications a plus; CDL preferred
• Familiarity with diesel engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer-based software
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs; pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections per DOT standards
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and related systems
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders
• Perform road calls and emergency repairs when needed
• Coordinate with drivers and operations to schedule maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines
