Great Lakes Petroleum Co. in Lakeland, FL is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel trucks and related equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues to keep vehicles safe and reliable. The role requires experience with air or hydraulic brake systems, ability to read manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL preferred or ability to obtain within timeframe after hire.
• Experience servicing air/hydraulic brake systems required.
• Experience diagnosing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel fuel trucks, boom trucks, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivability issues to ensure safe operation.
• Service and repair brake systems, suspensions, transmissions, steering components, and emissions systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel pumping and fuel transfer equipment on trucks.
• Review Vehicle Condition Reports and complete maintenance and repairs promptly.
• Accurately document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and parts used per procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow safety policies and regulations.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate status, needs, and schedules with supervisors and operations.
• Perform other duties to support fleet maintenance operations.
