Job summary

Summit School Services seeks a seasoned fleet supervisor/mechanic for a heavy‑duty maintenance facility. You will diagnose, repair, and oversee preventive and unscheduled repairs, while ensuring compliance with DOT rules and internal procedures.

You will lead maintenance staff, manage the EAM ERP system, and coordinate with driver care, route operations, and customer care teams. ASE certification is preferred and flexibility in scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of fleet supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with Heavy/Med duty fleets.
• Minimum of five years Auto/Truck or Bus mechanical repair experience.
• Experience with DOT compliance for Med/Heavy Trucks.
• ASE Master/Truck Technician certification preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Strong experience with computerized diagnostics.
• Background in planning and scheduling maintenance repairs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
• Experience in purchasing and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Oversee local implementation of maintenance and safety procedures.
• Manage EAM ERP usage for work orders and parts inventory.
• Oversee parts inventory and maintenance facility operations.
• Coordinate preventive and unscheduled repairs.
• Represent maintenance in interfacing with driver care, route operations, and customer care.
• Supervise maintenance staff at the facility.
• Maintain high ethical standards and report concerns.
