United Rentals, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and repairs on rental equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. You will document work orders and demonstrate equipment to customers, while supporting pickup/delivery of gear and parts.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. A valid license and tool set are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
