Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking a Diesel Equipment Technology Instructor for the Hall County Campus and LCCA. The role will design and deliver credit-bearing courses, develop syllabi, and manage program records while ensuring safety and program compliance.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff, recruit and retain students, and engage with industry advisory committees to align curricula with current diesel technology standards.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Three years relevant work experience in a field related to diesel equipment technology.
  • Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technology courses.
  • Develop syllabi to meet program and school objectives.
  • Evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment, and prepares required budget requests.
  • Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.
  • Attend required staff development training, workshops, and seminars.
  • Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
  • Meet with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students.
  • Assist with program recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
  • Conduct bi-annual program industry advisory committee meetings.
