Savannah Technical College is seeking a Part Time/Adjunct Diesel Equipment Technology program instructor. The instructor teaches students in classroom and lab environments.

The position requires a Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology preferred, ASE certification preferred, and five years of medium/heavy diesel work experience. Strong communication and computer skills are essential; teaching at a postsecondary institution is desirable. Flexible day/evening hours at either campus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Diesel Equipment Technology preferred.
• Current ASE Certification in T2–T8 preferred.
• Must have five years of medium/heavy diesel work experience within the past seven years.
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer skills.
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution is desirable.

• Evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Daily teaching duties include class lecture, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Ensuring safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory.
