Job summary

WM (Waste Management) is seeking a Mechanic Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of heavy vehicles and mechanical equipment. You will work under general supervision, ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to standard repair times.

You will document repairs in fleet maintenance software, assist in training junior technicians, and handle service calls and emergency breakdowns. A valid driver’s license and at least two years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years as a mechanic technician working on heavy equipment/trucks or similar role.
• 2 years inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Valid Driver's License Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE.
• Document repairs and parts usage in fleet software.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems for proper function.
• Provide support to team and train junior technicians.
• Complete required paperwork and training modules.
• Perform service calls and emergency breakdown repairs
