Job summary

Rush Truck Centers, part of Rush Enterprises, is hiring a Diesel Technician in Scott, LA. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, overhaul gas and diesel engines, and install critical engine components to ensure fleet readiness.

The ideal candidate has a GED or high school diploma, 5 years’ Class 7 & 8 experience, and a valid driver's license. ASE or OEM certifications are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Valid driver's license with insurability per company policy.
• ASE or OEM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Repair trucks and engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install parts such as injectors, pistons, bearings, and transmissions.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions.
• Ensure safety inspections and adjust as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers.
