Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Service Technician to deliver service to customers, including cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and parts removal. You will install with manuals, document work, disassemble/assemble, and evaluate parts for reuse.

Responsibilities include providing technical service to vehicles and equipment, performing general and detailed repairs on trucks and engines, overhauling gas or diesel engines, reading job orders, inspecting safety devices, and maintaining positive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• CDL license and Medical Card are preferred but not required by FMVSS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten or adjust as needed.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
