Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Diesel Technician to service customers, perform repairs, and maintain high standards of customer care. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, inspecting components, and reinstalling parts with attention to safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes hands-on repair of trucks and engines, adherence to manuals, and ongoing training to stay current with factory bulletins. Bloomington, MN-based position with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience as Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a valid driver license with insurability.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, etc.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions based on vehicle operation.
• Inspect protective guards, bolts, and safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and drive vehicle to verify conformance to specs.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
