Job summary

Transdev in Baltimore, MD, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician C to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a fleet of vehicles. You will conduct tests with advanced tools, perform routine maintenance, and assist senior mechanics to keep operations safe and efficient.

This role offers progression within a union environment, with starting pay aligned to the CBA and opportunities for ASE-based pay growth.

Qualifications

• Gasoline light duty fleet experience preferred.
• ASE certifications required within the first 18 months from start date.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
• Other duties as required.
