Job summary

Global Connect Technologies seeks an engineer to develop, implement, and validate diesel engine control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink. You will design strategies for fuel injection, air management, EGR, turbocharging, and aftertreatment, and build models for engine performance and emissions.

You will support Model-Based Design from concept to production, generate production code with Embedded Coder, and assist ECU integration and calibration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Eng or related field.
• 3+ years of MATLAB/Simulink development experience.
• Experience developing control algorithms for diesel engines.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine fundamentals (combustion, fuel systems, turbocharging, EGR, aftertreatment).
• Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD).
• Knowledge of Embedded Coder and automatic code generation.
• Experience with ECU software development and integration.
• Familiarity with engine calibration and validation processes.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain control algorithms for diesel engine applications using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Design and validate control strategies for fuel injection, air management, EGR, turbocharger control, and aftertreatment systems.
• Develop simulation models for diesel engine performance, emissions, and control system behavior.
• Support Model-Based Design (MBD) activities from concept through production.
• Generate production code using Embedded Coder and support ECU integration.
• Perform model verification, validation, and regression testing for quality.
• Collaborate with calibration engineers to optimize engine performance and drivability.
• Analyze test data and simulations to improve control system performance.
• Support HIL, SIL, and MIL testing.
• Develop and maintain engine control software documentation and specs.
• Participate in requirements analysis, architecture, and design reviews.
• Troubleshoot control software issues during development, testing, and integration.
• Support engine commissioning, validation, and field testing activities.
