Job summary

The role involves on-site work with clients, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field modifications to boost reliability and warranty performance. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and hands-on mechanical and electrical repair skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Valid Driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to read schematics, maintenance, repair, and FMI documents.
• Must have basic computer skills and work in Microsoft Office. SAP is a plus.
• Willingness to work various shifts and days off.
• Ability to work independently without much supervision.
• Ability to work safely, report hazards, and recognize risks.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and/or coaches.
• Troubleshooting and analysis of failures on locomotives or coaches.
• Read, interpret, and understand schematics and location circuit plans, electrical and mechanical repairs of various components.
• Use laptops with subsystem software to troubleshoot various systems onboard the locomotives.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions in locomotive or coach control circuits and components, identify corrective action.
• Read and document failures, part exchanges, FMI implementations, and performed work in the database.
• Communicate with site lead and colleagues about technical information and procedures.
• Receive and ship failed parts (RMA).
• Work with shop machines and hand tools.
