The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines and systems used in transportation operations across the state. You will perform inspections, tune-ups, and ensure safety and compliance in a hands-on role.

This full-time position requires a Class A or B CDL, a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, and PA Inspection Certification, plus completion of the Commonwealth's Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic Trainee

Formación

• Completion of the Commonwealth Diesel & Construction Equipment Mechanic Trainee program or equivalent Federal job title
• Two years of journey level mechanic experience diagnosing and repairing automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment including diesel vehicles
• Equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engines and mechanical systems across transportation equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, and documentation
• Conduct official safety and emissions inspections and complete related paperwork
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair methods
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area
• Maintain equipment records and repair findings
