Qualifications

• Two years of journey-level mechanic experience diagnosing and repairing automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment (diesel experience required).
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles and equipment including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
• Perform diagnostics, tune ups, and scheduled maintenance.
• Complete official safety and emissions inspections and documentation.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and determine repair methods.
• Maintain clean work areas, follow safety procedures, and report injuries or issues.
• Make adjustments, perform minor repairs, and assist during major repair projects.
