Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician at our West Point, VA shop. You will perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on our diesel and CNG refuse truck fleet to keep them running safely and road-ready.

Work hours are stable with paid interviews and a transparent onboarding process. We require 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience and relevant certifications. A Class A/B CDL is preferred or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel and/or CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake Safety Certification and Section 609 A/C System Certification are required.
• CDL Class A or B preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel and CNG refuse truck fleet to keep vehicles road-ready.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO, emissions and other components.
• Conduct test drives to verify proper operation and safety in compliance with DOT and OSHA rules.
• Complete daily work orders, inspection reports and parts orders accurately.
