Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel and CNG fleets. You will review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, perform routine and emergency roadside repairs, and ensure equipment meets safety and quality standards.

Strong knowledge of heavy truck systems, DOT CHP processes, and communication skills are required. Responsibilities include completing maintenance per SRTs, performing inspections, documenting parts usage and repair

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Familiar with DOT CHP repair processes and controls for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues and required repairs.
• Read and comprehend service/technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• You must possess personal tools and be able to perform physical tasks.
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications (T2–T8) and CNG Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel and CNG fleets.
• Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and perform diagnostics and repair.
• Perform roadside emergency diagnosis and repair as directed.
• Complete repairs and preventive maintenance per Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Document parts usage and repair times; maintain required paperwork.
• Attend safety and compliance training and adhere to OSHA rules.
