Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in the Los Angeles area to diagnose and repair diesel and CNG fleets. You will review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and perform emergency roadside repairs, with a focus on heavy truck equipment maintenance and compliance with DOT CHP processes.

The role requires strong communication skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. A competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend service/technical information.
• Effective communication of mechanical issues and required repairs.
• Ability to work safely under OSHA rules and regulations.
• Valid Class C Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Must possess personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Carry out senior-level repairs and critical diagnostics of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform roadside emergency diagnosis and repair as directed.
• Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
