Job summary

GFL is hiring in Houston for a diesel and CNG vehicle mechanic under shop leadership to repair and maintain our fleet to road-ready condition.

You will diagnose, test drive, inspect systems, and handle DOT inspections, with CDL preferred and ASE a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel/CNG maintenance and safety standards.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete inspections of brakes, engines, emissions, steering, bearings.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Prepare reports, work orders, and parts orders; maintain clean work area.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and participate in training.
