Job summary

Lakepark Industries of Indiana, Inc. in Shipshewana, IN is seeking a First Shift Die Setter/Press Operator. You will set up and change dies in heavy duty power presses, transport dies between storage, repair, and presses, and ensure part quality per standards.

You’ll align dies, adjust ram stroke, and perform basic maintenance while adhering to safety rules. Experience in metal stamping is preferred; basic computer literacy helps with tooling and maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 0-5 Years of experience in a MFG /Press environment.
• 1-2 years: Experience in metal stamping environment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and changes dies in heavy duty power presses according to changes in production schedule.
• Transport dies to and from die storage, die repair, and individual presses.
• Maintain the responsibilities and essential functions of a press operator when needed.
• Install, position, and align dies in press bed.
• Adjust the stroke of ram and punches to specified depth and stroke.
• Utilizing standard parameters adheres to and verifies part acceptance standards and verifies part quality.
• Start the machine to produce sample parts for inspection.
• Performs small maintenance repairs as needed.
• Adheres to all safety regulations.
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
