Job summary

Midway Products Group, INC in North Vernon, IN is seeking a 2nd shift Die Set Technician to operate a transfer press and perform die changeovers. You will start presses from shutdown conditions, run production, and conduct quality inspections per inspection strategy, while coordinating with the Press Improvement Team to optimize utilization and downtime.

High school diploma accepted; 1 year transfer press experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with transfer presses and die setting.
• Ability to start press from shutdown conditions.
• Knowledge of die setting, press parameters.
• Quality inspections including First Off/Last Off.

Responsibilities

• Operate transfer press and perform changeovers.
• Transport dies and set up dies per production schedule.
• Perform rail setups and ensure proper hookup.
• Install, position, align dies on bolster.
• Train part packers.
• Maximize each die in the press.
• Document issues with die/press and communicate to teams.
• Work with Press Improvement Team, Tool & Die and Maintenance.
• Make gripper adjustments, end stop adjustments, and adjust coil feed parameters.
• Perform small maintenance repairs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and housekeeping.
• Perform other essential functions as assigned.
