Job summary

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is seeking a Die Repairman on 2nd shift to repair and maintain dies used in our precision tooling operations. The role requires blueprint reading, tooling adjustments, and die repair work performed on mills and grinders.

Qualifications include a one-year technical certificate or three years related experience, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. Safety and teamwork are essential in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or minimum three years related experience and/or training.
  • Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Make adjustments to tooling; read blueprints and drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tooling using root cause analysis.
  • Work on mills and grinders.
  • Disassemble and assemble parts to repair/modify dies and tools using machine and hand tools.
  • Inspect finished dies for defects and conformity and ensure smoothness.
  • Maintain tolerances with precision measurement equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.
  • Additional projects may be assigned by the Tool Room Supervisor.

Job description

Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques. We currently have an opening for a Die Repairman on 2nd shift.

Pay:

Starting at $26 hr., based on experience, plus 10% night shift premium

Hours:

3:00pm-11:30pm

Summary Of Position

Repairs existing dies and develops, cuts, shapes or forms metal work pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards. Utilize root cause analysis.
  • Works on mills and grinders.
  • Disassemble and assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
  • Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
  • Competency in using precision measurement equipment and maintain tolerances.
  • Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
  • Additional projects may be assigned by the Tool Room Supervisor.
Education/Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.

Physical Demands / Safety

Ability to lift / move up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Experience using overhead cranes a plus.
